A Beginners Guide to Getting the Most Out of Pokémon Go’s January Community Days

What is a Community Day? A Community Day is an event on Pokémon Go where an influx of a specific Pokémon will be found. In January there are two Community Days. On Sunday 16 th January there is one for Spheal and on Saturday 22 nd January it is Bulbasaur's turn. The aim of Community Days is to catch as many of these Pokémon as possible. These Pokémon are sometimes rare, and the ones caught on Community Day have access to Special Moves when evolved during the event.  Additionally, on Community Days there are increased odds of finding Shiny Pokémon. A Shiny is a rare form of Pokémon that has a different colour. During Community Days the odds of finding a shiny is 1 in 25 rather than the usual rate of 1 in 500. There are other bonuses such as more XP for catching Pokémon. Incense and Lure Modules also last for a longer time. We will cover these items in more detail later. How can I prepare for the day? Make sure your device is fully charged. If you decide to play outsi

Deathloop Review

Like Groundhog Day but with more guns Stuck in a time loop, Colt finds himself starting every day waking up, hungover on a beach with no memory of how he managed to get there. After some exploration and finding messages, he seemingly left himself, he finds out he can escape by assassinating the 8 Visionaries who rule the island of Black Reef in one day. So, his journey of violence and discovery begins! In Deathloop when you die, you restart at the beginning of the day. You do automatically have a power that rewinds time three times after a death preventing small mistakes from being overly punishing. But if you make too many- tough luck, you need to replay the loop again.  Deathloop is at its heart an immersive sim in the same vein as games like Hitman and in particular Arkane Studio’s previous outings with the Dishonored series. This genre is best replayed to experience different solutions to missions. The clever part of the time loop design is no longer is exploring levels somet

Nintendo Switch Online- Expansion Pass 64 Emulator Has Problems Nintendo has faced criticism after the new Expansion Pass tier has not met fans expectations. The issues being reported are as followed: 1.        Inability to button map The N64 Switch app maps 'a' and 'b' to the same buttons on the Joycons however, their positions are reversed when compared to the Nintendo 64 controller. Ocarina of Time in particular seems to struggle when emulating fog. In particular, a tweet by StopSkeletons  shows the room in the Water Temple where Dark Link is fought and the emulator struggles to render both the fog and water. 3.         Latency Issues Some players are reporting slow input times using the N64 app. A few YouTubers have done tests to verify th

64BitWorld’s The Week in Gaming for 25 th September- 1 st October 2021 Howdy folks, today is Friday so starting from today I will start a new weekly article series discussing all the latest and greatest gaming news from the past week. Nintendo UK invites press to play Metroid Dread on a Switch OLED Metroid Dread Many outlets have been able to record previews and reactions to both Metroid Dread and the new Switch OLED Model, both launching on Friday 8 th October 2021. 2D Metroid has always been a very core Nintendo series. It never sold as well as Nintendo’s other franchises, but its fanbase is extremely passionate. By launching it on the same day as the Switch OLED, it seems that Nintendo is trying to entice this core audience into picking up the new console as well as a long-anticipated sequel.
